I live on the same street as my best friend. We both live alone, and every year we spend our vacations alone or with our families in a village. This year we decided that we would spend our holidays together and finally go somewhere by the sea. Since we have never traveled to the sea before, we did not know how to start planning or which travel agency to contact. The summer has finally arrived and exhausting heats as well. After sitting a whole day in the office, in the air conditioned in a better case, every one is looking forward for a refreshing bath in a cool lake. Swimming in a lake is indeed a great refreshment, but I personally prefer swimming in a sea, and therefore I look forward for a summer vacation for a whole year. I was living in London for ten years. I use to go to see football once a month with my mates. I come from Slovakia. Since I came back, it is so much harder to have some social life or watch sports. The best thing about studying overseas is that after school you can enjoy the city or the beach so some people associate it with a vacation, not mentioning meeting people and making maybe new business contacts with people from all over the world

I have decided to go on a vacation on my motorbike. I left my job, as this kind of vacation requires more than regular two weeks.  I know people are a little bit scared of motorbikes, especially when a woman drives it, but I have always wanted to do that since I was a little girl. Somehow, I was a type of a girl who did not like the dolls or dressing up, playing mommies, but I liked fast cars, motorbikes and my favorite colors were blue and green. So I made a complete plan of my journey. I made plan A and also plan B – there’s got to be. The weather forecast could not stop me, although I did plan to start my journey in June, so I was pretty sure it is going to be good.  I was hoping my motorbike will not go back on me. I bought some important things for my journey and I was ready to go. I made a plan that when I will be tired of driving, I will find a nice Bed&Breakfast and stay for couple of nights to get new energy. I was very lucky over the years, as I have met many people, with many of them became very good friends and we stayed in touch.  I did not have an aim. I figured out I will know when I will be there. 

I have ever never been to Croatia. It is very strange as it is the closest holiday destination with beaches to my home. There are many travel agencies who offers great apartments in Croatia. I do not know why I never went, but from what she has been telling me about their country, it is definitely one of the “must see” places. From my friend I learned that Croats are very warm and kind people who will gladly welcome you at their home and look after you as you are a part of their family.
